Hello there! I am a reading teacher trying to crack the code looking for books with stories and characters that represent students in my classes, my own children, and a host of nieces and nephews. One day while surfing the internet I came across a teacher who did a book bento project with her students. If I was thinking about it at the time, I would have shared her info here, but I wasn't. Anyway, I also just finished reading an article with my students about bento lunch boxes in Japan and we, especially me, fell in love with the beauty of the bento lunch boxes. These were the most artistic and creative lunches/ works of art. This is why when I came across the bento box book report project, I was obsessed. It is so much you can do with comprehension, literary elements characters, the list goes on in the form of an aesthetically pleasing bento box. As I discover books that the most reluctant readers would love I will create, to the best of my ability, a bento book...
